The Walking Dead on Foxtel.

Imagine a time before Twitter (RIP) was called X and people actually used the platform. And when we say people we mean journalists and media personalities specifically.

So to promote season four of The Walking Dead on Foxtel we created a horde of zombies to follow people on Twitter. Yes. We got our Head of Digital to create thousands of Twitter Bots each with zombie headshot and profile, and programmed them to follow prominent journalists and people of note across twitter for 24hours.

Overnight people’s followers quadrupled. Naturally they freaked out and began tweeting about it.The campaign was picked up by major news outlets and created a viral sensation on Twitter.
We eventually revealed the stunt days before the show aired, spiking ratings and getting the country talking about zombies.
